Jimi Hendrix, arguably the greatest guitarist of all time, once said, “My goal is to be one with the music. I just dedicate my whole life to this art.” Well, 12 year old guitarist and future rockstar, Nick Brodeur, has been playing guitar for more than half his young life.
Originally born just outside New York City and migrated to South Florida at 2 years old, Nick comes from a lineage of a musical family for nearly a century. Nick’s Great Aunt is Jackie Lee, the famous Irish/British pop singer of the 1960’s and 70’s. Jackie performed on BBC TV, had the hit single “White Horses” (1968), and has featured as a vocalist with some the greatest musicians of our time, such as, Tom Jones, Cat Stevens, Elton John, and as a background vocalist on Jimi Hendrix’s “Hey Joe.”
Nick has been playing the “axe” or electrical guitar since he was 6 years old. While under the tutelage of Mark Brajdic, Nick has been developing and harnessing his skill and interest by taking countless lessons to become a musical phenomenon. Some of his musical influences include, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, Guns ‘N Roses, Bon Jovi, and Ozzy Osbourne.
As far as playing in front of a crowd, Nicholas seems to be a natural showman. Previously, casted in musicals like, “Grease” and “Music Man;” a featured finalist in the October 2011 “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” which was written about in the Sun Sentinel and in the Plantation Forum for his outstanding performance; a featured performer at Miami’s TattooLaPalooza in June 2012; and recently performing with a full band in front of a crowd of over 200 people at the highly anticipated grand opening of UnFamous Tattoo Miami.
Nick and his label, Fli Life Music, wish for you to enjoy the show that is transpiring currently. As well, we hope you reclaim the nostalgia of hearing some rock classics and resurrect the #RebirthOfRock in your lives.
